Welcome to my teaching blog.

My name is Tomokazu (Tetsu) Morikawa, currently teaching Japanese at George Washington High School in San Francisco CA.  I've been teaching over 20 years.  Some people may say that I am a veteran teacher, but I've never felt that way.  I always get a bit nervous at the beginning of each school year, and another school year (2015-16) just started a week ago.  I am already busy with my daily operations for my class.  So why am I starting my blog now?

I sat up my goals for this school year.  One of them is "share! share! share!" So I determined that I will record and share all the processes of my teaching make-over projects.

Like many other teachers, I've noticed that our society's youth has changed, and I felt that I am in need of changing the way I teach also, so last year I decided to make over everything I do for my students.  Yes, everything I do for my teaching.
  • my classroom & class management
  • my curriculum
  • assessments for student achievement
The activities that I've done so far will be posted retrospectively! (coming!)

Arigato!
