After over 20 years of teaching, I was in need of making over my classroom. Roles for teaching in the classroom have drastically changed over decades. Classrooms need to be more open for students to communicate, to collaborate and to connect with new ideas and new friends.

Welcome to my teaching blog.
ようこそ (welcome!)
My name is Tomokazu (Tetsu) Morikawa, currently teaching Japanese at George Washington High School in San Francisco CA. I've been teaching over 20 years. Some people may say that I am a veteran teacher, but I've never felt that way. I always get a bit nervous at the beginning of each school year, and another school year (2015-16) just started a week ago. I am already busy with my daily operations for my class. So why am I starting my blog now?
I sat up my goals for this school year. One of them is "share! share! share!" So I determined that I will record and share all the processes of my teaching make-over projects.
